THE NEW DUAL-INTENSITY NARS BLUSHES!

Last summer I presented the Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows NARS  : I had a real crush for these shadows that can be used both dry and wet. Their desire to render metallic and bright had convinced me from the first application and come back today to talk about the new Dual-Intensity Blushes who join the hybrid lineup! I was eager to discover and I had the opportunity to test in recent weeks "preview": it is time to share with you my impressions!

These blushes are already present available on corners NARS Printemps Haussmann and Bon Marché and exclusive on narscosmetics.fr . Unfortunately, their output is not provided at Sephora!

Since last year, I feel that François Nars wants to expand its range of essential products with new formulas: after the release of Audacious Lipsticks , makeup artist launches the challenge to offer its clients a new texture, very different from that of conventional powder blushes. A rather bold challenge I must have because Nars blushes are among my favorites and they are also the best-selling brand: texture is velvety, they apply and are easy to blend and yet keep very well.

The Dual-Intensity Blushes are "double" by their form (there are two shades of blushes in each case) but also by their dual use wet & dry: we can therefore apply them directly by removing the material with a brush but you can also advance moisten it before immersing in the blush. I already knew blushers powders, liquids, creamy, gelled, "foam" but it seems that this dual use has never been proposed by other brands.

Their packaging is obviously (again) very successful: the casket is compact and is velvety touch (do not handle the blush if you have the foundation on the fingers because this task quickly) does risk not open if it carries as the closure is magnetized, the powders are great because have nice details in relief.In all, 6 shades that are proposed.

I suggest you do an overview of these 6 blushes before you speak my feelings 

Here first Fervor in which we find a very soft pink, peach and a slightly pink / plum copper:

In general the rendering is more intense blushes once moistened but this is more noticeable with bright colors:

Comes following Frenzy in which we find a highlighter champagne and mandarin blush:

Then Adoration (my favorite!): A pastel pink highlighter and blush pink pep:

Then the duo Jubilation highlighter which has two: a real gold and a golden champagne:

The duo Craving that surfs the trend "contouring" with a pearly white to slightly pink highlighter under-tones and tan:

And finally Panic , the most colorful duo in which we find a fuchsia and coral-pink:

As you will note, the colors selected in some duo are still quite special: the aim was to please the greatest number and especially for all skin tones while offering varied colors. François Nars was also the idea that these colors can mix with to create an infinite number of blushes. When you buy one, you finally have 3 colors available (both present in the duo + the ability to mix). If you buy two, you have at least 10 possibilities and so on! Indeed, makeup artists still tend to mix the colors by disguising their customers and with this new range, we build on these pro tips straight home.

I think with my fair skin, the only pair that I will have a hard time wearing is the Jubilation but again, if I pick some pink color a portable, I can add more glowy finish with him!

In this collection, there are also a new brush, # 23 :

Accurate enough, very soft and dense, one can easily moisten then take the blush and work it like a watercolor. The latter is managed but it is not cheap: it still costs € 46. I do not think it's necessary because if you want to apply these blushes without moistening, any brush cheeks will do. However if you want to play with texture, choose a brush like this one, very soft but dense. This type of brush may be more difficult to find so this is where the # 23 could be useful but for me, it is not essential! In all cases, avoid moving your brush directly under the water and go for a pschiit thermal water!

Then comes the day of reckoning!

Both say that I am totally convinced. I like them a lot and I think it is a real innovation in the blushes radius.

The texture of these dual-intensity Blushes is similar to that of eyeshadows: it is not creamy, it remains of the powder but it is really velvety, very fine and silky.

The pigmentation? I think it speaks for itself, it is obviously on top. This is where it could also be a problem for beginners because it should not take too much and think before applying to remove excess material on the back of his hand to avoid the effect makeup clown. So dry they are used, there is no risk of really experience this problem because the pigments are distributed very well but once wetted texture, we must be more careful. What is rather surprising is that despite the pigmentation on top, there is a slightly more 'transparent finish that leaves the skin underneath show through, really like a watercolor.

The finish varies between different shades: some are downright satin but all have a silky finish, which gives a super light "healthy skin" appearance. And this is where I see the difference with conventional powder blushes I own and that I apply every day.

Here is the rendering of pink blush duo Adoration (with a touch of highlighter duo of the same) but this time applied with the brush moistened:

One sees that the record plays a little more on transparency, plays the role of "second skin". As I explained, we must have a light hand because you can very quickly apply too. A small amount is sufficient to render natural and easy to wear everyday.

This application will work moistened more or less according to the foundation you use: I have no problems ( I applied the makeup foundation All Day Foundation Weightless Luminous brand which I mixed a small amount of the Match Perfection Rimmel, as I explain in this video ), and the matter has not moved but please do not apply powder before using these blushes wet as this may result in texture.

These blushes duets are not cheap but the quality / price ratio remains good: they are sold € 39 each time and offer 3 colors (as I explained above, the two present + possible mixing between these two shades ). NARS blush a "classic" costs 30 €.

I think you'll understand: I agree and I like these new beauuucoup blushes! They head to me rather to those who control much makeup I do not would offer them a debutante could be very difficult to implement them. However, if you have some preconceived ideas, know they tame still quite quickly.The secret: remove excess pigment on the back of his hand!
