I will continue my momentum of presenting winter collection and parties for this end of year 2014 and now I come back to introduce the palette Smashbox On The Rocks! The brand offers us in fact two pallets and pretty boxes to slip under the tree. However I feel that this is an exclusive for e-shop of the brand since I do not feel that it will be available on the e-shop Sephora or shop .. Not very practical to see the products and to the swatch, but the fact remains that this collection is well worth a visit and I am pleased to offer you a detailed review of this little gem that is this range!
This collection is inspired by precious stones and the two palettes are called On the Rock: that I present in this article is the "classic" in which there are 12 eye shadows but be aware that there is also a Deluxe version includes 28 blushes!
Here the palette On The Rocks classic:
I find the packaging of this range hyper successful because like its packaging, when the pass in the light of rainbow sky reflections appear! Both say that I played in front of my light like a child for a good 5 minutes. It's like with holographic varnish is too pretty not to be seen for a while!
Here its packaging "in the shadow"
And here is his report when placed in the sun or even under indoor light:
It's too pretty. A little bling bling but you start to know me from the time when it shines or it comes out of the ordinary, I like it!
When opened, so makeup to include 12 square lids arranged to create a nice pattern and the center of a small stone was placed to remind the outside packaging of the pallet.
If you still want to have the name of shadows on hand, it will keep the little protective plastic on which they were printed. It is ultimately the right compromise when they can not be registered on the palette as if printed on the back label, you get lost fast and it's hard to know which name corresponds to which eye. This is obviously a detail because every day we do not really look for the name of cosmetics that one uses, it is the blogger who speaks
A zoom in the palette to observe these blushes more closely:
Here are the shadows that are found: Blacktop (black with silver glitter microphone), Coronation(purple with gold glitter microphone) Nutmeg (a copper / gold), Opus (a flesh color eye shadow with pink under-tones ), Vanilla (another eye color but yellow flesh tones in this time), Chianti (plum dotted with micro silver glitter) Sapphires (electric blue satin finish), Confectionette (a light champagne), Mist (A taupe pink very clear and bright), Bourbon (brown sprinkled with gold glitter microphone), Midnight Emerald (a grass green satin), Obsidian (a light anthracite gray).
I think ( correct me if I'm wrong ) these shadows are not exclusive but have already been proposed in other pallets / trios of the brand: it is however bestsellers.

Chianti, Opus, Vanilla, Sapphires :
Bourbon, Confectionette and Midnight Emerald :
Finally Mist and Obsidian:
As you can see, the shadows are pigmented, apply evenly with the sole exception of Blacktop which is a bit disappointing as it is less intense.
When I swatche these blushes, the Midnight Emerald eye I immediately caught the eye. What a superb green eyeshadow!
To illustrate this article I decided to apply makeup with it!
To start I applied Bourbon outer corner and in the hollow. I then moved to the Emerald Midnight application on my eyelid. Internally corner and my ras-de-lower lashes I opted for the Mist and shadow to reinforce the outer corner I used a touch of Chianti eye.
In mucosa I wear pencil Agnès B hue Bronze n'metal which is no longer marketed because as you may know, the club beauty creator was closed a few months ago.
If you are looking for a pallet in which there are a mix of pep colors and more neutral colors, it is prime and shadows will work easily! And is really original packaging so it's an additional plus point!
